AUD/USD rises back above 0.8700

FXStreet (Córdoba) - AUD/USD managed to recover some ground and climbed back above the 0.8700 level after falling to a 4-day low weighed by the risk-off mood.

AUD/USD briefly dropped below 0.8700 and slid to a low of 0.8687 but quickly turned higher and rose nearly half a cent to an hourly peak of 0.8729. AUD/USD remains 0.63% down on the day but headed for its first weekly gain in five.

AUD/USD technical levels

As for technical levels, short-term resistances are seen 0.8785 (Oct 10 high), 0.8800 (psychological level) and 0.8845 (21-day SMA). On the other hand, supports could be found at 0.8687 (intraday low), 0.8650 (Oct 6 low) and 0.8642 (Oct 5 low).
